Gathered for a night of “sinful food,” Georgia Chapter members celebrated their second annual Indulgence event at The Atlanta Event Center at Opera in Midtown Atlanta on Feb. 28. Indulgence showcases food, decor and entertainment options to Atlanta-based meeting professionals who book millions of dollars of meetings in the metro area each year. With the provocative theme of a 1920s speakeasy, many of the “guys” in attendance wore pinstriped suits and fedoras and many of the “gals” sported bobs, seamed stockings and lots of pearls. The Meeting Professional; June 2008; Georgia Chapter Holds Charity Benefit for Atlanta’s Table; The Georgia Chapter raised $15,000 at annual charity event The Gathering on April 15 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre benefiting Atlanta’s Table, a project of the Atlanta Community Food Bank. The chapter’s fund-raising efforts have contributed more than $500,000 to Atlanta’s Table since the charity’s inception some 20 years ago.
